The Screw Factory Artists are hosting two events this fall. The first will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 12-6pm. The second will be held on Friday, December 4th from 6-10pm. A complete list of participating artists for both events will be available after Oct 1st.
Please note the Last Minute Market will be held at the Galleria this year.Â
Most of the artists are on hiatus this summer or busy with outdoor shows around town. We will be back on Saturday, November 7th with our next event. Work from theÂ Lake Erie Building itself is on displayÂ at BayArts as a part of the Squared UP gallery show.Â “Curator Christopher Gray explores the current Instagram movement in photography. Photographs taken only with mobile phones will be assembled into an exhibit that takes photography beyond that which hangs on the wall to a place where it can engage a community of photographers around a common theme.” Presented in the Dianne Boldman Education Gallery through July 31. All proceeds from the sale of theÂ Lake Erie Building’s pieces are being donated to BayArts, a not for profit organization committed to providing a welcoming lakeside environment to stimulate, encourage and support professional and aspiring artists of all ages through collaboration, education and exhibition. BayArts is part of the Huntington Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks at 28795 Lake Road, Bay Village, Ohio 44140. The Dianne Boldman Education Gallery is located in the Huntington House at BayArtsÂ and is open Mondayâ€“Saturday from 9a – 5p.
Gina DeSantis is expanding her classroom studio this fall. The space will be doubled in size allowing for more programming during the week including the addition of a hand building course and morning wheel throwing classes. There will also be extended independent studio hours and options. Students can start registering for fall on June 15 with all classes being added by July 1.
The studio is also hiring for hand building and wheel throwing instructors. Please send your resume, 10 images of artwork and 3 professional references to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Interviews will start in early July.
Arabella Proffer (C288) was featured recently on Cleveland.com (as an online preview to her Plain Dealer Friday magazine feature). She also appeared this month in art news website Hyperallergic’s A View From The Easel series.
Proffer will be teaching fashion illustration classes for adults in her studio this fall. These classes are new, and similar to her popular childrens’ classes at BAYArts. Click the link for details.
