We are hosting two events this holiday season. More information including participating artists will be available later in November. Until then please save the dates below!

Holiday Open Studio: Preview night on Fri, Dec 2nd from 6-10pm & Sat, Dec 3rd from 11am-5pm

Holiday “Weihnachts Market”. Sat, Dec 17th. 10am-5pm.

Please note these events are organized by a group of volunteers. We do our best to update the site, social media and newsletters. Thanks for your patience. We look forward to seeing you this December.

Two Fall Open Studio Events!

The Screw Factory Artists are hosting two events this fall. The first will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 12-6pm. The second will be held on Friday, December 4th from 6-10pm. A complete list of participating artists for both events will be available after Oct 1st.

Please note the Last Minute Market will be held at the Galleria this year. 

Fall Open Studio: Saturday, November 7th from noon-6pm

Most of the artists are on hiatus this summer or busy with outdoor shows around town. We will be back on Saturday, November 7th with our next event. In the meantime sign up for our newsletter for info on where to find your favorite Screw Factory Artists. Click here and register your email. We send out one email monthly and perhaps one extra during an event month.

Work from the Lake Erie Building itself is on display at BayArts as a part of the Squared UP gallery show. “Curator Christopher Gray explores the current Instagram movement in photography. Photographs taken only with mobile phones will be assembled into an exhibit that takes photography beyond that which hangs on the wall to a place where it can engage a community of photographers around a common theme.” Presented in the Dianne Boldman Education Gallery through July 31. All proceeds from the sale of the Lake Erie Building’s pieces are being donated to BayArts, a not for profit organization committed to providing a welcoming lakeside environment to stimulate, encourage and support professional and aspiring artists of all ages through collaboration, education and exhibition. BayArts is part of the Huntington Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks at 28795 Lake Road, Bay Village, Ohio 44140. More information is available at or by calling 440-871-6543. The Dianne Boldman Education Gallery is located in the Huntington House at BayArts and is open Monday–Saturday from 9a – 5p.

Clay Classroom Expanding at Gina DeSantis Ceramics

Gina DeSantis is expanding her classroom studio this fall. The space will be doubled in size allowing for more programming during the week including the addition of a hand building course and morning wheel throwing classes. There will also be extended independent studio hours and options. Students can start registering for fall on June 15 with all classes being added by July 1.

The studio is also hiring for hand building and wheel throwing instructors. Please send your resume, 10 images of artwork and 3 professional references to Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Interviews will start in early July.

Art Classes at the Screw Factory

Glass Fusing classes are taught by Daniel Pruitt on floor 2 and Jennifer Szalkowski of Night Owl Glass on floor 3.

Eva Sherman of Grand River Beads offers a variety of jewelry making classes. 

Resident artist Arabella Proffer feature/classes

Arabella Proffer (C288) was featured recently on (as an online preview to her Plain Dealer Friday magazine feature). She also appeared this month in art news website Hyperallergic’s A View From The Easel series.

Proffer will be teaching fashion illustration classes for adults in her studio this fall. These classes are new, and similar to her popular childrens’ classes at BAYArts. Click the link for details.
